01
Bond

Sintered diamond segments.

Bonds matched to the rock — softer for abrasive quartz and VMS, harder for soft formations. Same blade, different life.

02
Precision

Thin kerf. Less core lost.

Cleaner cuts, less material wasted, sharper sample fidelity. The kind of edge that pays for itself by the program.

Specs & Sizing

Frequently asked questions

What sizes of diamond core-cutting blades do you stock?

Our core-cutting blades come in three sizes: 14", 16", and 18" diameters. Those are the standard saw sizes used in exploration core libraries and on-site core sheds across Canada. Each size is available in our three rock-tuned bonds (Medium Rock CC, Hard Rock HC, Fast Cut FC) so you can match the blade to the rock type and the cutting volume.

What is the difference between CC, HC, and FC bonds?

CC (Medium Rock) is our general-purpose bond for the moderate-hardness rock most exploration programs encounter. HC (Hard Rock) is sintered for granitic, quartzite, and harder lithologies where soft-bond blades wear too fast. FC (Fast Cut) prioritizes cutting speed over blade life for high-volume programs where throughput matters more than blade swap frequency. Most programs run CC; HC and FC are for specific use cases.

How thin is the kerf on your core-cutting blades?

Our blades are precision-ground for a thin kerf to maximize sample yield. Exact kerf width depends on size and bond — the 14" blades run thinner than the 18". Thin kerf means more usable core per metre and less wasted sample for assay or thin-section work.

Are diamond core-cutting blades compatible with standard saws?

Yes — our blades use standard arbor sizes for the saws most exploration programs use. We can confirm fit if you tell us the saw model. Common arbors are 1" or 22.2 mm; specialty sizes available on request.

How fast can you ship core-cutting blades in Canada?

Stock sizes in our standard bonds typically ship within a week from Cranberry Portage, Manitoba. We hold inventory of the high-volume combinations so most orders go out of stock; specialty bonds or non-standard sizes batch into 1-3 week builds.

Do you supply core-cutting blades to mineral exploration programs across Canada?

Yes. We ship blades anywhere in Canada from Cranberry Portage. Direct trucking covers Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and northern Ontario; common-carrier freight handles BC, Alberta, Quebec, Maritimes, and the territories. Blades pack small and ship light, so freight is rarely the cost driver.
